Main Street announces Monetra® release 6.0
Main Street Softworks, Inc., the premier provider of high performance, integrated electronic payments software, today announced the public release of version 6.0 of the Monetra® payment server software. Upgrading to this new release is recommended for all current users.
The Monetra version 6.0 release introduces the Monetra Data Security Shield™ secure storage module, new recurring billing capabilities, new processor support, and expanded processor functionality. In addition to those enhancements, Main Street Softworks continues to keep Monetra on the cutting edge of industry technologies by fully supporting the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system (the newest and most secure version of Windows ), new support for OpenBSD 4.0+ and delivering native Intel-processor builds for the Apple Macintosh OS X operating system.
The new recurring billing features of Monetra version 6.0 allow businesses to easily and flexibly schedule recurring or installment payments to be processed automatically. The integrated Monetra Data Security Shield (“Monetra DSS”) secure storage module uses military-grade encryption to safeguard data needed for future transactions. The ability to perform recurring billing operations and securely store transaction data with Monetra DSS adds convenience to day-to-day business processes while maintaining compliance with credit card industry security guidelines.
Also included in Monetra version 6.0 is the addition of new processor support for Givex gift cards and expanded functionality of several previously-supported processors, as follows: Fifth Third Bank (added Gift, PIN debit & EBT); Bank of America Merchant Services (added PIN debit, EBT and Internet SSL connectivity); Global Payments (added AVS-only, billing, and re-certified all industries); TSYS Acquiring/Vital (added AVS-only, billing, Verified by Visa, MasterCard Secure Code, support for enhanced Visa/MC gift card responses, and card-level results); and Heartland Payment Systems (added eCommerce industry support for the Heartland Exchange platform).
Monetra version 6.0 is licensed, distributed and supported across all major operating systems. Native server builds are currently available for Linux, FreeBSD, IBM AIX, SCO Unix, Sun Solaris, Apple Macintosh OS X, and Microsoft Windows® systems, including Windows Vista.
