Internet: via the Monetra Installer
As of Monetra 5.0, Main Street provides the Monetra Installer to make installation of Monetra as easy and seamless as possible.

To use the Monetra Installer via the Internet, please follow the steps below:

1. Visit http://www.monetra.com
2. Click 'Support' at the top. Then slightly down and to the right, click 'Downloads'
3. Under the 'Monetra Installer Utility' section. Find your operating system and click the appropriate version. If you do not see your operating system listed, follow the steps below.
   • Click 'Please log in here to visit the client download section.'
   • Login using the username/password provided in the welcome e-mail
   • Under the 'Monetra Installer/Upgrader Download' section, select your operating system and click download.
4. Save the download to your Desktop or a location you will be able to easily find.
5. Close your web browser
6. • Windows Users: Double click the downloaded file on your Desktop. Follow the installation procedure.
   • Mac Users: Double click the downloaded file. Follow the installation procedure.
   • UNIX Users: gunzip and tar -xf the downloaded file. cd into the created monetrainstaller directory. Execute monetrainstaller for a X based GUI or monetrainstaller_console for terminal mode. Follow the installation procedure.
7. When prompted to close and restart the Monetra Installer to continue close the Monetra Installer.
   • Windows Users: Double click the new Monetra Installer icon on your Desktop.
   • Mac Users: Open your Hard Drive. Open the Applications folder. Open the Monetra folder. Double click on the Monetra Installer icon.
   • UNIX Users: Execute /usr/local/monetrainstaller/bin/monetrainstaller for a X based GUI. /usr/local/monetrainstaller/bin/monetrainstaller_console for termainal mode.
8. Click Next. Enter the username and password that was provided to you in the welcome email. Click Next
9. If prompted that you have X number of new packages to install if you'd like to install them, click Yes. Otherwise, click on each red line and click the Install button beginning with the Monetra Payment Engine.
10. Repeat the previous step until all items are green. Click Exit
11. Monetra is now installed on your machine and ready to be configured.

CD-ROM: via a CD-ROM image that you can burn to a CD-R

To create a CD-ROM for installing Monetra, please follow the directions below:

1. Visit http://www.monetra.com
2. Click 'Support' at the top. Then slightly down and to the right, click 'Downloads'
3. Click 'Please log in here to visit the client download section.'
4. Login using the username/password provided in the welcome e-mail
5. Locate the package you would like to install and click to 'Generate Installation ISO'.
6. Click and download the 'monetra_install.iso' to a location you will remember.
7. Close your web browser
8. Burn the resulting ISO image using a CD burning application of your choice.
9. Insert the CD into the computer that you wish to install Monetra on.
10. The CD should start automatically. If it does not, please perform the following:
    • Open My Computer
    • Double Click your CD-ROM drive. It should have the Monetra logo.
11. When presented with the License Agreeement, click 'Yes' to continue.

Off-Line: via the Monetra Installer

To create an offline package for installing Monetra, please follow the directions below:

1. Visit http://www.monetra.com
2. Click 'Support' at the top. Then slightly down and to the right, click 'Downloads'
3. Click 'Please log in here to visit the client download section.'
4. Login using the username/password provided in the welcome e-mail
5. Locate applications you would like to install, place a check box in the 'Get Offline' checkbox next to each one.
6. Scroll to the bottom of the page, click 'Construct Offline Package'.
7. Select the version of each application you would like to download. The defaults should be appropriate for most users.
8. For 'Output Options', select 'Full Package'.
9. For 'Output Format', select as per the following:
   • Windows Users: Select 'Zip (PkZip/WinZIP Compatible)'
   • Mac Users: Select 'Tar/GZ (.tar.gz)'
   • UNIX Users: Select 'Tar (.tar uncompressed)
10. Click 'Generate Offline Package'
11. Click the 'offline_licenses' file
12. Download to your Desktop or a location you can easily locate.
13. Open the downloaded file
    • Windows Users: Double Click the file or open it within WinZip and extract it to location that you can easily locate.
    • Mac Users: Double click the file and it will extract to your Desktop.
    • UNIX Users: tar -xf offline_licenses.tar to a path you will remember.
14. In your web browser, click the 'Client Area' tab.
15. Under the 'Monetra Installer/Upgrader Download' section, select your operating system and click download.
li>Save the download to your Desktop or a location you will be able to easily find.
16. Close your web browser
17. • Windows Users: Double click the downloaded file on your Desktop. Follow the installation procedure.
    • Mac Users: Double click the downloaded file. Follow the installation procedure.
    • UNIX Users: gunzip and tar -xf the downloaded file. cd into the created monetrainstaller directory. Execute monetrainstaller for a X based GUI or monetrainstaller_console for terminal mode. Follow the installation procedure.
18. When prompted to close and restart the Monetra Installer to continue close the Monetra Installer.
    • Windows Users: Double click the new Monetra Installer icon on your Desktop.
    • Mac Users: Open your Hard Drive. Open the Applications folder. Open the Monetra folder. Double click on the Monetra Installer icon.
    • UNIX Users: Execute /usr/local/monetrainstaller/bin/monetrainstaller for a X based GUI. /usr/local/monetrainstaller/bin/monetrainstaller_console for termainal mode.
19. Click Next. Click Have Disk
20. Select the location where you extracted the offline_licenses file
21. Click Open
22. If prompted that you have X number of new packages to install if you'd like to install them, click Yes. Otherwise, click on each red line and click the Install button beginning with the Monetra Payment Engine.
23. Repeat the previous step until all items are green. Click Exit
24. Monetra is now installed on your machine and ready to be configured.
